Accredited Conservators and Restorers

The maintenance and care of historic glass require special skills. The rising incidence of vandalism and ongoing environmental damage has resulted in an enormous increase in demand for these skills, especially in the care of our unparalleled wealth of 19th-century glass. The former BSMGP Accreditation Scheme for the Conservation, Restoration and Repair of Stained Glass has now ceased and been formally integrated into the multidisciplinary Accreditation Scheme which was established by the United Kingdom Institute for Conservation (UKIC/PACR Scheme), now the Institute of Conservation (ICON).

Potential applicants are advised to contact the Institute of Conservation, Unit 1.5 Lafone House, The Leathermarket, Weston Street, London SE1 3ER; website: http://www.icon.org.uk.

ICON can provide a comprehensive list of their Accredited Conservators/Restorers (ACRs). We publish below, with permission, the names of those BSMGP members who appear on the ICON/ACR list or were previously BSMGP accredited, together with links to their websites and/or to their portfolios on the BSMGP site.
