Inside Passage at Dusk
Antique and float glass, painted. I made the original drawing whilst on holiday in Alaska. I was inspired by the light on the water and the changing colours of the sky. To recreate this in glass, I used paint and enamels on float glass with a streaky antque glass plated behind to enhance the colours. My work in glass has always been inspired by my love of nature and is often drawn from images painted in the landscape or from memory. The emphasis is always on light and colour, whether using traditional leading or more experimental screenprinting or fusing techniques.
